What do the Trans/Giving FANS Want to see more of?

What do the Trans/Giving FANS Want to see more of?

In continuing to try to keep Trans/Giving fun and fresh for the community, we have been trying to come up with new ideas for the show to spice up our lives! As you have seen, we have had a film festival, a big house party, trans/giving express at universities, and coming soon, we will be working on organizing our SEX Show!  Which will be awesome by the way considering we have a Trans XXX Star on our organizing team, and a pro dominatrix as well!  If anyone is interested in performing for this show, hit us up at transgiving@gmail.com -

So back to the topic... We want the fans and community to tell us what they want to see more of, give us any ideas that you guys have for future shows, recommend performers for us to contact, places to flier, improvements for our shows, ect...

Please email us at transgiving@gmail.com with your suggestions and tell us what YOU want to see!

Who are we?
Trans/Giving is a unique, award-winning series that showcases the immense talent of transgender, genderqueer, and intersex artists in Los Angeles and around the world. Trans/Giving functions as both a showcase for experienced artists as well as a space to explore for those who are new to performing. We are a space where people from many different communities and backgrounds can connect and share their talents. While some of our past artists have addressed gender issues directly, this is by no means a requirement -- we are interested in sharing the best work of all members of our communities, whatever the theme. Trans/Giving believes that the strongest statement we can make as artists is simply through our art.

The Trans/Giving Film Festival Hits The Road! First Stop... The University Of Redlands

As gender variant lives have gained greater visibility in the past several years, our images have been splashed across primetime and major motion pictures. However, even as we gain footing as subjects in mainstream media, our own creative voices still struggle to be heard. And yet we know the depth of talent that our community has to offer as filmmakers whose work we are thrilled to be showcasing at Trans/Giving’s Traveling Film Festival! The first stop of the tour will be the University Of Redlands. Together Trans/Giving organizers, Karin McClellan Gonzales and Kalil Cohen will be presenting their workshop "How To Be A Good Trans Ally". So bring your friends or family memebers or dorm mates and help introduce them to trans culture and learn a little bit more about how to be a great ally to trans and gender variant folks!

This shorts program includes a 90-minute program of short films, including In My Skin, Unheard Voices, Queerer Than Thou, Fagette and Traverse City. The 9 shorts in the collection include comedy, documentary, music video, and experimental, all exploring transgender experiences from the comedic to the absurd.  These films will entertain, titillate, and burst open contemporary definitions of gender, sex, and identity.

You are also invited to join the panelists for pizza from 5-6 pm in the Pride Center. The workshop "How To Be A Good Trans Ally" will begin at six pm right after dinner. This is a great chance to meet other folks from your community and enjoy some delicious free pizza with like minded individuals. The workshop is from 6 pm to 7pm. The films will begin screening at 7:30 pm in Orton Center.
